The Route

Departing from either Hayle or Penzance, this journey aims to tell the full story of the Cornish Peninsula. We’ll explore historic landmarks such as Botallack Mines, Cape Cornwall, Longships Lighthouse, Land’s End, and the Minack Theatre, to name just a few.

The epic coastline features notorious waters and treacherous headlands that change dramatically from coast to coast.

Along the way, towering cliffs, hidden caves and coves, showcase the diverse features of this remarkable landscape.

Cape Cornwall marks the point where the English Channel and Irish Sea converge with the Atlantic Ocean. The collision of currents brings nutrients from each body of water creating an area teeming with wildlife diversity.

Although we can’t predict exactly what wildlife we’ll encounter, this route boasts numerous seal haul-out locations, whale and porpoise hot spots, the Dolphin Corridor, tidal features that attract tuna, and incredible bird colonies. On magic days, we can see all the above.

This award-winning trip is designed to be the best boat excursion in the UK.

This trip is exposed to the elements, seas, and tides, requiring a healthy respect. Please check the schedule carefully, as we can only operate these trips on moderate tides when we’re able to ride the flow. Large tides coupled with swell and wind can lead to very rough seas. We manage these trips carefully, monitoring the ever changing conditions.

This is a one-way trip, allowing our guests to use the train link between Hayle and Penzance for their return journey. The train station is just a four-minute walk from the boat in Hayle and a two-minute walk from the meeting point in Penzance, convenient and easy! Trains run approximately every 30 minutes on most days and cost around £4. However, don’t rush to jump on the train, as both Penzance and Hayle offer plenty to explore, ask our guides for local recommendations.

Due to the dynamic nature of our waters, we must remain adaptable to changing conditions. The captain may adjust the route as necessary to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone on board.
