1. Authority to Bind (Lead Passenger) The person making this booking (the “Lead Passenger”) warrants that they have the authority to accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of every guest in their party. By completing the booking, the Lead Passenger confirms that all guests have been made aware of, and agree to be bound by, these terms.
2. Minimum Age Requirements
- 3+ years: Mounts Bay, Godrevy to Hell’s Mouth, North Coast Experience, and Land’s End.
- 5+ years: Rounding Cornwall.
- 7+ years: Golden Hour Trips.
- 8+ years: Wild and Wonderful (unless pre-arranged with the Captain).
- Note: Children (12 and under) must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
3. Minimum Capacity for Sailing If minimum numbers are not met, we will offer an alternative date/time or a full refund:
- Golden Hour: 8 passengers minimum.
- Wild and Wonderful: 7 passengers minimum.
- All Other Trips: 6 passengers minimum.
4. Health & Pregnancy Restrictions
- Pregnancy: Expectant mothers are not permitted on board at any stage of pregnancy.
- Medical Conditions: We advise against travel for those with back, joint, or bone complaints. You travel at your own risk.
- Disclosure: You must notify the crew of any medical conditions or disabilities during the induction.
5. Cancellations, Moves & Refunds
- Customer Changes: Bookings are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of departure (or 7 days for Private Charters).
- Operator Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel or move bookings due to weather or sea conditions. In these cases, we will offer an alternative date/time or a full refund of the booking cost.
- Liability: Coast Boat Trips is not liable for travel, parking, or accommodation expenses resulting from any cancellation or move.
- No Refunds For: Missed departures (30-minute early arrival required), lack of wildlife, or poor weather experienced during a trip.
6. Safety & Conduct
- Equipment: Life jackets are mandatory. A £50.00 fee applies to the Lead Passenger for any jacket manually inflated or damaged with intent.
- Dogs: Permitted unless they cause unrest. If the Captain denies a dog boarding, no refunds are given to guests who then choose not to sail.
- Behaviour: No smoking, vaping, or glass bottles. We may refuse boarding to anyone deemed intoxicated.
7. Liability & Media
- Property: We are not liable for damage to personal items (cameras, phones, etc.) from sea spray or water.
- Photography: You agree that Coast Boat Trips may use photos/videos taken during the trip for promotional purposes.
- Jurisdiction: These terms are governed by English Law.
