Boat Trip Information
The Atlantic Ocean is a dynamic environment. The weather and sea conditions in Cornwall are forever changing. The elements are what shape the incredible landscape and give the conditions for the eco-systems to thrive.
You are travelling on a safe open boat, it can get wet from time to time. We provide wet weather gear, however, make sure you wrap up warm. You got to be in it to win it!
Important:
- Check the weather and dress accordingly.
- We may change the trip to a near by location with favourable conditions. Make sure you check your phone for updates from us.
- Do you have any underlying health conditions that may affect your safety or enjoyment? Please check with us before boarding.
- Let us know if you suffer from seasickness
Where to meet
Meet the guide at the truck 30 mins before the trip. Lookout for our flags!
You will be greeted by one of our guides. They will offer you waterproofs and give you a brief of what to expect. Please notify us of any relevant illness or injuries that we need to be aware of. The guide will stay with your group from start to finish.
From meeting point to boat
Your guide will escort you to the boat. This is usually a short 5 minute walk. Sometimes, depending on the tide, you may need to walk 10 or more minuets to departing location.
Arriving onboard
Your guide will brief you on the trip and safety as we leave the harbour.
For your comfort
We have 4 twin bench seats at the back and 4 jockey seats at the front of our spacious deck layout. This combination gives comfort while retaining the ability to move around the boat to get a better look at the wildlife. The jockey seats give the front passengers extra support as the boat rides over the waves.
Each passenger has an area by their feet to keep their belongings out of the spray (30l).

We are lucky enough to spot seals and sea birds on most of our trips. We have our resident seal colonies that haul out in the same locations, as well as our amazing sea birds that have their favourite spots for breeding. And don’t forget, there is much, much more to see!
Take a look at our Boat Trips page to find out more of what you can see on each trip.
We accept dogs onboard!

The Atlantic Ocean is a dynamic environment. The weather and sea conditions in Cornwall are forever changing. The elements are what shape the incredible landscape and give the conditions for the eco-systems to thrive. We must respect the weather at all times so trips may change routes to best suit the given conditions.
As we are positioned on a peninsula, we have access to two coasts. This gives us a huge advantage over other companies when if the weather is unfavourable, it’s likely we will be able to run an alternative trip on the opposite coast. Both the north and south sides are different but no less impressive.
Hayle and Penzance are a 15 min drive apart, or you can jump on the train that takes only a few minutes. This may not be possible for some and we will do all that we can to avoid these changes. If you do need to cancel due to the weather a full refund will be given.
We will only change between the north coast (Hayle) and the bay (Penzance) in the event that the conditions are that your trip’s quality is compromised.

Please consider you will be out on the open sea and temperatures are often a couple of degrees cooler than the shore. We will supply you with the waterproofs, what you wear underneath is up to you. Check the weather and dress accordingly. You will enjoy your time much more if you’re warm. As the old Cornish proverb goes ‘Weather is never wrong, just the clothes you wear’.
Although we are not a zoo and can’t guarantee what you will see. We can guarantee you will see a lot!
